# Lookup CAC Affiliate

> Find the CAC companies a person is affiliated with, and the roles they hold on a given RC number.

Look up a person's affiliations on a Nigerian company. Pass the company's CAC registration (RC) number together with the person's name. The response lists each matching company and the roles that person holds, such as director, shareholder, or person with significant control (PSC).

## Headers

| `Authorization` | Yes | Your app's secret key, sent as-is — *not* `Bearer`. |
| `AppId` | Yes | The App ID from your dashboard. |

## Query parameters

| `first_name` | string | Yes | First name of the person to match. |
| `last_name` | string | Yes | Last name of the person to match. |
| `phone_number` | string | No | Phone number of the person. Omit this parameter when you do not have one. |
| `email` | string | No | Email address of the person. Omit this parameter when you do not have one. |

## Response

A `200` returns `entity` as an array. Each item is one company the person is affiliated with.

| `other_name` | string \| null | Other name, when the record has one. |
| `phone_number` | string \| null | Phone number on the record. |

| `rc_number` | string | CAC registration (RC) number. |
| `type_of_company` | string \| null | Company type, when present. |
| `date_of_registration` | string | Registration date, `YYYY-MM-DD`. |
| `address` | string \| null | Registered address. |
| `status` | string | Company status, such as `Active`. |
| `affiliate_type` | string\[] | Roles held. Values include `SHAREHOLDER`, `PSC`, and `DIRECTOR`. |
| `nationality` | string \| null | Nationality on the record. |
| `date_of_birth` | string \| null | Date of birth on the record. |

## Errors

| Code | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `400` | Bad request — a required parameter is missing or malformed. |
| `401` | Unauthorized — check your key and `AppId` (no `Bearer` prefix). |
| `402` | Insufficient wallet balance. [Fund your wallet](/api-reference/core-concepts/wallet-billing). |
| `404` | No record found for the supplied identifier. |
| `429` | Too many requests — back off and retry. |
